The challenge
The challenge was to overcome the four most extreme places in the world with our 4x4 Mercedes Benz Axor in an uninterrupted journey. The route takes us through 17 countries and along 46‘960km. To accomplish the project, it took us 11 months because the hottest and the coldest place needed to be visited when the record temperatures could be reached. This also meant that our equipment had to be extremely robust and durable to withstand those conditions.
...a challenge so Xtreme, that several media channels decided to write about it

Every 10 seconds a grownup loses eyesight due to the effects of poverty and the same happens to a child every minute. Affected are the poorest regions of the world, in Asia and Africa. They have no resources to examine their eyes and finally lose their eyesight because of eye infections and cataracts. Many children suffer from bad eyesight and urgently need glasses. Throughout several events co-hosted with some of our sponsors, we collected donations of 50.- which enables an eye surgery. We are very grateful to everyone who supported us in the fight against blindness.
The base of our expedition vehicle is a Mercedes Axor 1829 4x4 truck which was modified with several specific parts to defy the extreme conditions throughout this journey. Due to space and permitted total weight, the truck is able to transport photo and film equipment, clothing, and supplies (such as fuel, water, food, medicines, spare parts, and consumables) for a remote route without supply possibilities.
